Essex County Council Cultural Strategic Fund and Culture in Essex Small Grants

Essex County Council Cultural Development manage two cultural grants schemes, both of which are now closed for applications until 2019.

Cultural Strategic Fund: The Cultural Strategic Fund offers grants of £2,500 and above are awarded to organisations and groups whose work will have local/regional/national significance, and delivers against the Council’s priorities. Please read the guidance before submitting an application form.

Culture in Essex Small Grants: The Culture in Essex Small Grants offer amounts of up to £2,500 for one-off support to arts and culture projects within Essex (excluding Southend and Thurrock). Please read the guidance before submitting and application form.

Essex County Council Cultural Funding Document: Essex County Council publishes a cultural funding document which provides details of several funding opportunities at local, regional and national levels.

Arts Council England invest in art and culture for a lasting return, looking for organsiations, artists, events initiatives and others to apply for funding to help achive our mission of great art and culture for everyone.

 

Heritage Lottery Fund The HLF uses money raised through the National Lottery, giving grants to sustain and transform our heritage. From museums, parks and historic places to archaeology, natural environment and cultural traditions HLF invests in every part of our diverse heritage.

 

The Big Lottery Fund invests millions of pounds from the National Lottery to good causes. Our money goes to community groups and projects that improve health, education and the environment

 

 

The Essex Community Initiatives Fund is a small grants scheme funded by Essex County Council (exluding Southend and Thurrock) which is designed to fund community projects that:

  • Create, procure or develop new community assests
  • Enhance exisitng community assests
  • Enhance or develop initiatives that strengthen a community

The fund has been designed to be as flexible as and responsive as possible to the needs of the community. 

The Essex Community Foundation is an n independent charitable trust improving the quality of life of people in our community by investing and distributing funds on behalf of a wide range of donors.  Since 1996 our donors have invested over £20 million of charitable funding directly into Essex, Southend and Thurrock making it a great place to live, work, learn and grow.

 

The Education Endowment Foundation offer funding which “will raise the attainment of children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in schools in England”. It is open to not-for-profit organisations such as mainstream primary and secondary schools, charities, local authorities, academy chains, universities, social enterprises and community interest companies.
