Maeldune Heritage Centre is the home of the 42 foot Maldon embroidery which celebrates the 1000th anniversary of the Battle of Maldon. It was designed by Humphrey Spender to depict Maldon's history from the Battle of Maldon in 991 to its anniversay in 1991.

The centre also houses art exhibitions, historical displays, a photographic archive and a gift shop.

Cafe / Shop:



We are fully accessible, with wide entrance door and all on the ground floor. So can accommodate wheelchairs, mobility scooters, as well as pushchairs, guide-dogs etc with ease.


By Road:
A414 into Maldon. Centre town car parks are within 200yds of the centre which is at jct of High Street and Market Hill.
