Craft and Tea Workshops at Tiptree Tea Rooms, Cressing Temple Barns

From October through to December 2019 there will be craft workshops running for adults and young adults (14+) being led by experienced Essex based artists, who are all experts in their field.  Aimed at beginners or creatives wanting to try something different, there is something for everyone. 
 
The workshops will all use the beautiful setting of Cressing Temple Barns as their inspiration.  Enabling participants, the time to explore this unique site that is rich in ancient history.
 
The workshop series kicks off with textile artist Clarissa Cochran, who will demonstrating how to make an indigo dyed bag using the Japanese shibori technique and how the indigo vat works.
 
Internationally renowned artist Henry Driver, who is currently Cressing Temple’s artist in residence will be running creative projection & photography courses.  There will also be workshops in watercolours, felt making and mosaics.  In the lead up to Christmas there will be opportunities to make handmade cards and wreath.
